Welcome to the Fourth Capture the Trash Event!
Teams of 5-7 members will be given two and a half hours to work together and rejuvenate the beauty of Riverside and Frog Island Park, but the fun doesn't stop there.
Awards will be presented for:
- Trashiest Team
- Muddiest Group
- Most Unique Piece
- Most Spirited Team
- Most Trash Collected
Registration for our event will be with at 1 p.m. and the competition will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Our overall purpose is to increase environmental awareness and education through community service by creating a fun atmosphere where people from the community can join together and help Ypsilanti become a brighter and greener place.
The event is brought to you by the collaboration between Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority, Vision's GREEN and Eastern Michigan University.
